• Ms. Kummer Peiry said that the fifteenth anniversary of the entry into force of the Convention provided the opportunity to take stock of achievements to date and identify future challenges to implementation.

• Ms. Kummer Peiry said that the World Forum for Human Health and Livelihood offered the world a platform to voice its concerns about waste management, noting that the issue should be a priority, at both the local and national levels and in the international development agenda, in efforts to improve living conditions.
