• At the initiative of the Fondation Ostad Elahi: éthique et solidarité humaine, and under the auspices of the International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions, on 13 February 2009, a round table of experts was convened in Paris at the Economic, Social and Environmental Council of the French Republic to discuss the theme of the 2009 annual ministerial review.

• IFHR/OCDH indicate that, in May 2008, the Government banned a demonstration to announce the official establishment of the association “Marien Ngouabi et éthique” (Marien Ngouabi and ethics) and that on 6 May 2008 a member of this association was kidnapped and held at the Department of Territorial Intelligence, where he was allegedly interrogated.
  وأشار الاتحاد الدولي لرابطات حقوق الإنسان ومرصد الكونغو لحقوق الإنسان إلى أن الحكومة حظرت في شهر أيار/مايو 2008 احتفالاً كان سيعلن في أثنائه إنشاء جمعية "Marien Ngouabi et éthique" رسمياً، وأن أحد أعضاء الجمعية المذكورة اختطِف يوم 6 أيار/مايو 2008 واحتجز في الإدارة العامة لمراقبة الأراضي الإقليمية حيث أُفيد أنه أُخضِع للاستجواب.
