• After conducting a critical review of the Diccionario de la Real Academia Española de la Lengua, the Commission submitted its recommendations to the Academy, which took them into account in preparing the 2000 edition of the dictionary.

• With a view to eliminating the use of sexist language, the NOMBRA Advisory Committee on Language had conducted a critical review of the Diccionario de la Lengua de la Real Academia espanola, and had drawn up a series of proposals which had been sent to all Academy members in order to be taken into account in the drafting of the new edition, scheduled for 2000.
