With regard to press freedom, random cases of harassment of the press have been reported. The director of the private newspaper Kansaré, Fafali Koudawo, was questioned by the Office of the Prosecutor General in connection with the publication of an article in July 2008 which had first appeared in the magazine Afrique Diagnostique in May 2008.
