• Madagascar explained that one of the priorities of its Ministry of Waters and Forests was the implementation of its revised Forest Law (Law No. 97/017 of 8 August 1997), as well as the development and endorsement of strategic action plans, which included intensified cooperation with customs officers, joint patrols and the creation of a National Observatorium for the forest sector, which aimed at improving the administration of the natural patrimony and the conservation of biodiversity.
  أوضحت مدغشقر أن احدى أولويات وزارة المياه والغابات في مدغشقر تتمثل في تنفيذ قانون الغابات المنقح (القانون رقم 97/017، الصادر في آب/أغسطس 1997)، وكذلك وضع واعتماد خطط عمل استراتيجية تتضمن تكثيف التعاون مع ضباط الجمارك ودوريات خفر مشتركة، وانشاء مرصد وطني لقطاع الغابات بهدف تحسين ادارة الارث الطبيعي والمحافظة على التنوع البيولوجي.
