• On 14 February 2008, I received a letter from the Egyptian Minister of Tourism in which he expressed the willingness of the Ministry of Tourism to assist and support the Arab League effort, agreeing to allocate the Chefren auditorium at the Cairo International Conference Centre for the staging of this performance on 8 April 2008, free of charge.
  تلقيتُ بتاريخ 14/2/2008، خطاب من السيد وزير السياحة المصري، أعرب فيه عن استعداد وزارة السياحة المصرية مساندة ودعم هذه الجهود التي تقوم بها الجامعة العربية والموافقة على تخصيص قاعة ”خفرع“ بمركز القاهرة الدولي للمؤتمرات لإقامة هذا الحفل يوم 8/4/2008 وذلك دون مقابل.
• On 29 January 2008, in the context of the campaign, I received a letter from Dr Kifah Fakhouri, Director of the National Music Conservatory, proposing that a musical performance be held, under the auspices of the Arab League, by a select group of talented children from the Arab States, the proceeds of which would go to the children of Iraq. The Secretariat-General welcomed this proposal and, on 10 February 2008, a letter was sent to Mr Mohammed Zoheir Garana, the Egyptian Minister of Tourism, requesting consideration of the possibility of granting the Arab League the free use of the Chefren auditorium at the Cairo International Conference Centre to stage this performance.
  وفي إطار هذه الحملة تلقيتُ بتاريخ 29/1/2008 رسالة من الدكتور كفاح فاخوري أمين عام المجمع العربي للموسيقي يقترح فيها إقامة حفل موسيقي تحت رعاية الجامعة العربية لنخبة من الأطفال الموهوبين من الدول العربية، يخصص ريعه لأطفال العراق، وقد رحبت الأمانة العامة بهذا المقترح، وفي هذا الصدد أرسلتُ بتاريخ 10/2/2008 رسالة إلى السيد محمد زهير جرانة وزير السياحة في جمهورية مصر العربية للتفضل بالنظر في إمكانية منح الجامعة العربية قاعة ”خفرع“ بمركز القاهرة الدولي للمؤتمرات بدون مقابل لإقامة هذا الحفل.
