• Since that report was issued there have been more violations of human rights, including the looting and destruction of private property during the violent demonstrations after the signing of the Linas-Marcoussis Agreement, as well as a resurgence in violence against the media, in particular the attacks on the premises of Le Jour newspaper and Nostalgie private radio station, and the abduction and murder on 26 February of a well-known actor, Camara Yéréfé, allegedly by death squads in Abidjan.
