Indonesia, México, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature - Mesoamerica- (IUCN-HORMA), the Central American Strategy on Forests of the Central American Commission on Environment and Development (EFCA-CCAD), the Association for Indigenous and Peasant Coordination for Community Agro-forestry of Central America (ACICAFOC), the National Forestry Office and the National Forest Financing Fund (FONAFIFO), organized a country-led initiative for an “International Experts Meeting on Innovative financial mechanisms: searching for viable alternatives to secure basis for the financial sustainability of forests”
  قامت حكومة كوستاريكا بمبادرة قطرية تتمثل في اجتماع دولي للخبراء عقد تحت شعار: ”آليات مالية ابتكارية : البحث عن بدائل تتوفر فيها مقومات الاستمرار لتأمين أسس التمويل المستدام للغابات“، وذلك بدعم مالي من كندا، وسويسرا، وبرنامج الغابات المشترك بين البنك الدولي، ومصرف أمريكا الوسطى للتكامل الاقتصادي، ومعهد البلدان الأمريكية للتعاون في الميدان الزراعي، وبرعاية مشتركة بين إندونيسيا وفنلندا، وكولومبيا، والمكسيك، والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، والاتحاد الدولي لحفظ الطبيعة - قسم أمريكا الوسطى، والقائمين على استراتيجية أمريكا الوسطى للغابات التابعة للجنة أمريكا الوسطى للبيئة والتنمية، ورابطة الشعوب الأصلية والمزارعين المعنية بتنسيق الشؤون الحرجية والزراعية لمجتمعاتهم المحلية في أمريكا الوسطى، والمكتب الوطني للغابات، والصندوق الوطني لتمويل الغابات.
