• As the General Assembly gathers this year, the Jewish people recall that historic journey by marking the festival of Sukkot.
  وإذ تجتمع الجمعية العامة هذه السنة، يتذكر أبناء الشعب اليهودي الرحلة التاريخية باحتفالهم بعيد الصُّكُّوت.

  وقبل أن أعطي الكلمة للمتكلم الأول، أود أن أشير إلى أن وفد إسرائيل أبلغني بأنه، نظرا للأعياد اليهودية الثامن الختامي والفرح بالتوراة والأيام الأخيرة من عيد المظلة، التي يتم الاحتفال بها يومي 4 و 5 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، فإن إسرائيل تأسف لعدم قدرتها على المشاركة في الحوار الرفيع المستوى، وتتطلع إلى الانضمام إلى الاجتماعات الأخرى بين الأديان وبين الثقافات.
