• The Sultanate of Oman is situated in the southern-eastern extremity of the Arab peninsula and covers an area between latitudes 26.16° and 30.39° to the north and longitudes 52.00° and 59.50° to the east. Its coastline stretches 3,165 kms on the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian sea, starting from the Arabian sea and the tip of the Indian Ocean, extending along the Gulf of Oman and ending at Musandam in the north on the Strait of Hormuz and the Arab Gulf.
  تقع سلطنة عُمان في أقصى الجنوب الشرقي لشبه الجزيرة العربية وتمتد بين دائرتي عرض 16٫26 و 39٫30 شمالاً وبين خطي طول 00٫52 و50٫59 شرقاً، وتطل على ساحل خليج عُمان وبحر العرب بطول يبلغ 165 3كيلومتر يبدأ من أقصى الجنوب الشرقي حيث بحر العرب ومدخل المحيط الهندي، ممتداً إلى خليج عُمان حتى ينتهي عند مسندم شمالاً، ليطل على مضيق هرمز ومدخل الخليج العربي.
• Jabal Hafit marks the southern boundary of the Buraimi Oasis, where the city of Al-Ain is found, and is approximately 1,220 metres high. In addition, the Hajar mountain range, which is 80 kilometres long from north to south and approximately 32 kilometres wide, cuts across the Musandam Peninsula, then enters the Sultanate of Oman and runs down to the eastern tip of the Arabian Peninsula. The city of Ras al-Khaimah stands at the foot of the northern flanks of this range, which reach an altitude of around 2,438 metres at their highest point. On the western flanks are a number of large valleys and ridges, some of which are used for agriculture.
  يعتبر جبل حفيت حداً جنوبياً لواحة البريمي حيث تقع مدينة العين ويبلغ ارتفاعه نحو 220 1 متراً، إضافة إلى سلسلة جبال حجر التي تشطر شبه جزيرة مسندم وتمتد على مسافة 80 كيلومتر شمالاً وجنوباً بعرض يصل إلى نحو 32 كيلومتر فتخترق سلطنة عمان لتصل إلى الطرف الشرقي من شبه الجزيرة العربية، وفي سفوح المناطق الشمالية من هذه السلسلة التي تصل في أعلى ارتفاعها إلى نحو 438 2 متراً تقع مدينة رأس الخيمة، وتتميز سلسلة السفوح الغربية للسلسلة بوجود الوديان الكبيرة والأخاديد التي يستغل بعضها للزراعة.
