• Since September 2008, the Centre has conducted over 15 training sessions for Cameroonian police and gendarmerie officers of the criminal investigation training centre (Centre de perfectionnement à la police judiciaire) as well as police officers from countries of ECCAS trained at the regional police training centre (Centre de perfectionnement aux techniques de maintien de l'ordre) of Awae, Cameroon, including some who were preparing to be deployed to peacekeeping missions.

• It will also provide for travel to Africa/Europe to participate in seminars aiming at establishing a better understanding and better coordination of military aspects of peacekeeping operations among regional organizations in Africa such as the Economic Community of West African States (West Africa), the Standby Forces of the African Union, now under formation, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (East and North East Africa), the Southern African Development Community (southern Africa), the Renforcement des Capacités Africaines de Maintien de la Paix (French-supported organization of the Francophone countries), the European Union, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the United Nations Standby High Readiness Brigade.
