• En agosto de 2004 se llevaron a cabo con éxito en las provincias filipinas de Zambales y Cavite ejercicios de adiestramiento naval entre unidades de la marina de Filipinas y de la marina de los Estados Unidos de América en el marco de un ejercicio bilateral combinado denominado CARAT 2004 (Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training 2004).
