A revised version of the present report will be issued following the meeting, with an initial assessment of how UNEP will be poised to contribute to the further implementation of the Programme of Action for the Sustainable Development of Small Island Developing States. Reference will be made to activities already included in the draft programme of work for the biennium 2006-2007, as well as to new activities for which additional funding would be required.
