• The Conference recognizes that the non-nuclear-weapon States parties to the Treaty reaffirmed their commitment not to receive the transfer from any transferor whatsoever of nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices, or of control over such weapons or explosive devices directly, or indirectly, not to manufacture or otherwise acquire nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices, and not to seek or receive any assistance in the manufacture of nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices.

• Le Bill of Rights inclus dans la Constitution sud-africaine de 1996 contient un article 9 sur l'égalité particulièrement exhaustif: «The state may not unfairly discriminate directly or indirectly against anyone on one or more grounds, including race, gender, sex, pregnancy, marital status, ethnic or social origin, colour, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, conscience, belief, culture, language and birth.» De son côté, la Charte des droits fondamentaux de l'Union européenne vise «les caractéristiques génétiques», «un handicap, l'âge ou l'orientation sexuelle» (art. 21).
  كما أن شرعة الحقوق المدرجة في دستور جنوب أفريقيا لعام 1996 تتضمن المادة 9 التي تغطي مسألة المساواة بصورة شاملة: "يتعين على الدولة ألا تميّز على نحو ظالم سواء كان ذلك بطريقة مباشرة أو غير مباشرة ضد أي شخص على أساس واحد أو أسس متعددة، بما فيها العنصر، أو نوع الجنس، أو الحمل، أو الحالة الزوجية، أو الأصل الإثني أو الاجتماعي، أو اللون، أو الميل الجنسي، أو العمر، أو الإعاقة، أو الدين، أو الوجدان، أو المعتقد، أو الثقافة، أو اللغة أو الميلاد". أما الميثاق الأوروبي للحقوق الأساسية فيتناول من ناحيته، "المميزات الجينية" و"الإعاقة، أو العمر أو الميل الجنسي" (المادة 21)(3).
