  فقد استضافت سنغافورة مناورة للمنع البحري أطلق عليها الاسم الرمزي ”مناورة السيف العميق“ في الفترة الممتدة من 15 إلى 19 آب/أغسطس 2005، وشارك فيها عدد من بلدان المبادرة الأمنية لمكافحة الانتشار بصفة مشاركين ومراقبين.
• Durant son mandat en cours, le Groupe a élaboré, en coopération avec l'Institut des Nations Unies pour la formation et la recherche (UNITAR), une publication intitulée «Selection of examples and exercises drawn from regional NAPA workshops» (choix d'exemples et d'exercices tirés des ateliers régionaux consacrés à l'élaboration des PANA), qui présentait une synthèse du matériel pédagogique fourni pour les quatre ateliers régionaux sur les PANA organisés par le Groupe d'experts en 2003.

• En coopération avec l'UNITAR, le Groupe d'experts a élaboré un document intitulé «Selection of examples and exercises drawing from regional NAPA workshops» (choix d'exemples et d'exercices tirés des ateliers régionaux consacrés à l'élaboration des PANA). De même, le petit guide sur les PANA donne des indications sur l'élaboration des PANA et en particulier sur les moyens de surmonter les difficultés qui peuvent surgir au cours de ce processus.
  ومن نواتج ذلك، أعد فريق الخبراء المعني بأقل البلدان نمواً، بالتعاون مع معهد الأمم المتحدة للتدريب والبحث، وثيقة بعنوان "أمثلة وتمارين مختارة مستمدة من حلقات العمل الإقليمية المعنية بإعداد برامج العمل الوطنية للتكيف" وبالمثل، يقدم المدخل إلى برامج العمل الوطنية للتكيف توجيهاً بشأن إعداد البرامج ويتوسع في توضيح كيفية التصدي للعقبات التي تعترض عملية إعداد تلك البرامج.

  ”ترى حكومة الولايات المتحدة أن ممارسة الولاية على الموارد الطبيعية الكامنة في باطن الجرف القاري وقاعه من جانب البلد المتاخم له أمر معقول وعادل، ما دامت فعالية التدابير الرامية إلى استعمال هذه الموارد أو المحافظة عليها ستتوقف على تعاون السلطات الساحلية وما توفره من حماية، وما دام الجرف القاري يعتبر امتدادا ليابسة البلد الساحلي وبالتالي تابعا لها، وما دامت هذه الموارد تشكل في الغالب امتدادا تجاه البحر لكتلة أو رواسب تقع داخل الإقليم، ومادامت الحماية الذاتية ترغم البلد الساحلي على تشديد الحراسة على الأنشطة الجارية قبالة شواطئه والتي هي بحكم طبيعتها ضرورية لاستعمال تلك الموارد“.
