They should realize that the United Nations presence on the ground will not be there indefinitely, nor will it resolve the conflict between them. They will have to abide by the ceasefire Agreement, scrupulously observe the arms embargo imposed on them by Council resolution 1298 (2000), manifest the necessary political will to find a lasting political settlement to their territorial dispute and repair their ruptured bilateral relations.
وعلى الطرفين إدراك أن وجود الأمم المتحدة في الميدان لن يستمر بلا نهاية، ولن يحل الصراع بينهما؛ وعليهما الالتزام باتفاق وقف إطلاق النار، والامتثال بدقة للحظر المفروض على توريد الأسلحة بموجب قرار مجلس الأمن 1298 (2000)، وإبداء الإرادة السياسية اللازمة للتوصل إلى تسوية سياسية دائمة للنزاع الإقليمي بينهما وإصلاح العلاقات الثنائية المقطوعة.
