  وأثناء معالجة مشكلة مناطق الحواضر، نظر مؤتمر الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي الواحد بعد المائة، الذي عُقد في بروكسل في عام 1999، في ورقة مقدمة من منظمة الأمم المتحدة للأغذية والزراعة حول موضوع “تغذية المدن”.
• The programme addresses the following topics: (a) breastfeeding; (b) feeding supplements; (c) diet of pregnant women and nursing mothers; (d) growth and development of children aged under 10 and adolescents; (f) prevention of specific nutritional deficiencies; (g) prevention and treatment of malnutrition in mothers and children; and (h) prevention and treatment of chronic ailments.
