It was noted that although flight distances estimated for each destination by the various models were similar, estimated GHG emissions differed substantially, up to a factor of three, with estimates by top-down methods being much lower than those by bottom-up methods; the price per tonne of CO2 equivalent used is different in each model, and is much higher than the market price to include overheads and running costs.
