In line with this approach, the Government has embraced an E-government programme; projects related to this and the Sultanate's digital society initiative include, a unified E-government data and information network, smart ID cards for nationals and residents (Directorate General of Civil Status) and a web site for government tenders and other projects.
وتماشيا مع هذا التوجه تبنت الحكومة مشروع الحكومة الالكترونية ومن ضمن المشاريع المتصلة بالحكومة الالكترونية والمجتمع الرقمي بالسلطنة: الشبكة الحكومية الموحدة للمعلومات والبيانات والبطاقة الذكية للمواطنين المقيمين (الإدارة العامة للأحوال المدنية) وموقع المناقصات الحكومية وغيرها من المشاريع.
