• In performing his function as Spokesperson, the head of the Office will be supported by a Public Information Officer (United Nations Volunteers) responsible for developing public information products for target audiences, analysing media reports and preparing media summaries, and for general press and media relations support, a Public Information Officer (National Officer) to cover radio broadcasts in Nepalese and to provide local language input for the development and execution of targeted communication campaigns, including writing, producing and editing public information products as well as transcribing press briefings, a Public Information Assistant (Field Service) responsible for preparing summaries of media coverage on specified themes, contributing to the preparation of fact sheets, press releases and background briefings and assisting in accreditation arrangements and the setting up of press visits for the international and local media, as well as two Media Monitors (Local level) for the monitoring of a representative variety of local press, radio, television, Internet and regional and international media, press agencies, periodicals and journals and the production of related reports.
