• As a follow-up to the joint OHCHR-UNDP seminar on good governance practices for the promotion of human rights (held in Seoul on 15 and 16 September 2004), OHCHR published a selection of 24 geographically diverse practices, exploring 4 thematic categories: (a) the relationship between the rule of law, governance and the protection of human rights, (b) good governance interventions by service-delivering State institutions demonstrating how transparency, accountability and public participation enhance equitable access, reduce discrimination and strengthen social and economic rights, (c) practices leading to an expansion of representation of societal interests in the democratic process, and (d) cases which demonstrate the link between corruption, good governance and human rights.
  وكمتابعةٍ للحلقة الدراسية التي عقدت في سيئول (15 و16 أيلول/سبتمبر 2004) برعاية مشتركة بين المفوضية السامية لحقوق الإنسان وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي حول دور ممارسات حسن الإدارة في تعزيز حقوق الإنسان، أصدرت المفوضية مجموعة مختارة من 24 ممارسة مختلفة جغرافياً، واستكشفت أربع فئاتٍ مواضيعية هي: (أ) العلاقة بين سيادة القانون والحكم وحماية حقوق الإنسان، (ب) عمليات تدخل حسن الإدارة من خلال مؤسسات حكومية معنية بتقديم الخدمات تبين كيف يعزز كل من الشفافية والمساءلة والمشاركة العامة الوصول المتكافئ ويحد من التمييز ويكرس الحقوق الاجتماعية والاقتصادية، (ج) الممارسات المؤدية إلى توسيع نطاق تمثيل المصالح المجتمعية في العملية الديمقراطية، (د) الحالات التي تدل على وجود صلة بين الفساد وحسن الإدارة وحقوق الإنسان.
