The Geneva data centre has been upgraded to provide additional infrastructure to support redundancy requirements for certain systems and provide solutions including a virtual environment and directory services.

The objectives of the regional workshops were to ensure that central and other competent authorities designated under the Organized Crime Convention establish close working contacts; to promote knowledge of the Convention mechanisms and potential in the area of international cooperation in criminal matters; to provide a platform for discussing ways and means of complying with other, related mandates under decision 3/2 (e.g. online directory and virtual network of central authorities, compilation of cases).
وكانت أهداف حلقات العمل الإقليمية هي ضمان قيام السلطات المركزية والسلطات المختصة الأخرى، المعيّنة بموجب اتفاقية الجريمة المنظمة، بإقامة علاقات عمل وثيقة؛ وتعزيز المعرفة بآليات الاتفاقية والإمكانات في مجال التعاون الدولي في المسائل الجنائية؛ وتوفير منبر لمناقشة طرائق وأساليب الامتثال لولايات أخرى ذات صلة، بموجب المقرّر 3/2 (مثلا، دليل وشبكة افتراضية حاسوبيين بشأن السلطات المركزية، وتجميع القضايا).

The objectives of the workshops, as thoroughly discussed at the Steering Committee, would revolve around ensuring that central and other competent authorities designated under the Convention establish close working contacts, promoting knowledge of the mechanisms and potential of the Convention in the area of international cooperation in criminal matters, and providing a platform for discussing ways and means of fulfilling related mandates under decision 3/2 of the Conference, such as the online directory and virtual network of central authorities and the compilation of cases.
وسوف تتمحور أهداف حلقات العمل، وفقا للمناقشات المستفيضة التي دارت في اللجنة التوجيهية، حول كفالة أن تُقيم السلطات المركزية وغيرها من السلطات المختصة، المكلّفة بمقتضى الاتفاقية، اتصالات عمل وثيقة؛ وتعزيز المعرفة بآليات الاتفاقية وإمكاناتها في مجال التعاون الدولي في المسائل الجنائية؛ وتوفير منتدى لمناقشة سبل ووسائل الوفاء بالولايات الأخرى ذات الصلة المنصوص عليها في مقرر المؤتمر 3/2، مثل نشر دليل على الإنترنت وإنشاء شبكة افتراضية حاسوبية للسلطات المركزية، وتجميع القضايا.
