Site B under this proposal will include protection measures for enterprise applications such as the Integrated Management Information System (IMIS), e-mail, Lotus Notes workflow applications (120 databases), CTS and Chase Insight (treasury), the geographic information system (GIS), the Virtual Library System, statistical databases, correspondence tracking databases, the procurement application, and file servers.

These resources would cover the acquisition and installation of network switches and related equipment and cabling in order to support videoconferencing, Internet protocol telephony, business continuity requirements and real-time connectivity to United Nations enterprise applications, such as the Integrated Management Information System, Galaxy and future systems that would allow the sharing of security-related information.

33.45 The network infrastructure of the United Nations regional headquarters and regional commissions underwent an upgrade in the biennium 2006-2007 to support desktop videoconferencing, Internet protocol telephony, business continuity requirements and real-time connectivity to United Nations enterprise applications, such as the Integrated Management Information System (IMIS), as well as future systems related to the sharing of security-related information.

32.34 The network infrastructure of the United Nations regional headquarters and regional commissions, which in part enables a direct link between all locations and United Nations Headquarters, will require a major upgrade in the biennium 2006-2007 to support desktop videoconferencing, IP telephony, business continuity requirements and real-time connectivity to United Nations enterprise applications such as the Integrated Management Information System, Galaxy and future systems related to the sharing of security-related information.
