The Special Committee recalls General Assembly resolution 58/275 of 23 December 2003 and reaffirms the role of the General Assembly, as set out in Article 17 of the Charter of the United Nations, as the organ to consider and approve the budget of the Organization, as well as the appropriation of its expenses among Member States.
وتذكر اللجنة الخاصة بقرار الجمعية العامة 58/275، المؤرخ 23 كانون الأول/ ديسمبر 2003، وتؤكد مجددا دور الجمعية العامة المبين في المادة 17 من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة بوصفها الجهاز الذي ينظر في ميزانية المنظمة ويقرها وكذا في قسمة نفقاتها على الدول الأعضاء.

Based on the comments and observations set out above, the Advisory Committee recommends that the appropriation for administrative expenses of the Pension Fund be approved in the amounts of $57,514,000 for the biennium 1998-1999 and $62,301,100 for the biennium 2000-2001, taking into account a reduction of $23,800 for the exclusion of the reclassification of the post of database administrator to the P-5 level for the reasons given in paragraph 13 above.
وبناء على التعليقات والملاحظات المبينة أعلاه، توصي اللجنة الاستشارية بالموافقة على الاعتماد المقترح للمصروفات الإدارية بمبلغ 000 514 57 دولار لفترة السنتين 1998-1999 وبمبلغ 100 301 62 دولار لفترة السنتين 2000-2001، بعد احتساب تخفيض قــدره 800 23 دولار ناجم عن استبعاد إعادة تصنيف وظيفة مدير قاعدة البيانات إلى الرتبة ف-5 للأسباب المبينة فــي الفقرة 13 أعلاه.
