In accordance with a decision taken at its twenty-third session, the Working Group began by considering the priority item on bonded labour and debt bondage.

The priority sectors are: (a) bonded child labour (b) domestic child labour (c) child porter (d) children working in mines (e) rag-pickers (f) trafficking of children for sexual exploitation and (g) children working in carpet factories.
والقطاعات التي تحظى بالأولوية هي: (أ) سخرة الأطفال، (ب) عمل الأطفال في البيوت، (ج) الحمالون من الأطفال، (د) الأطفال العاملون في المناجم، (ه) من يفرزون القمامة، (و) الاتجار بالأطفال لأغراض الاستغلال الجنسي و(ز) الأطفال العاملون في مصانع السجاد.

A review of the information provided to the Working Group showed that despite the progress made in the protection of human rights and the preservation of human dignity all over the world, various forms of slavery still existed and new insidious forms of slavery were emerging. The Working Group considered as a matter of priority the questions of bonded labour and debt bondage, as well as the issue of trafficking in persons and the exploitation of the prostitution of others.
ويتضح من استعراض المعلومات التي قدمت إلى الفريق العامل أنه، على الرغم من التقدم المحرز في حماية حقوق الإنسان وصون كرامته في جميع أنحاء العالم، ما زالت توجد أشكال مختلفة من الرق، وهناك أشكال خبيثة منه آخذة في الظهور الآن، ونظر الفريق العامل على سبيل الأولوية في مسألتي العمل الاستعبادي واستعباد المدين، فضلاً عن مسألتي الاتجار بالأشخاص واستغلال بغاء الغير.
