In the area of energy, UN-Habitat will promote sustainable urban transport, especially for the poor, undertake energy efficiency audits of water utility companies and promote slum electrification programmes.

وقد أسفر الحوار السياسي عن تبادل قدر كبير من الخبرات وورود عدد هائل من طلبات المساعدة التقنية من حكومات عديدة، تلتمس فيها تطبيق تدابير توجيهية ناجحة لإدارة البيئة الحضرية، وتحقيق الكفاءة في استخدام المياه، وقياس معدلات استهلاك الطاقة، والبيان العملي للكفاءة في استخدام الطاقة.
