On 16 October 2001, the Council adopted a decision authorising the signature of the UN Protocol on the illicit manufacturing of and trafficking in firearms, theirs parts, components and ammunition (annexed to the Convention against transnational organised crime) on behalf of the European Community.
وفي 16 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2001، اعتمد المجلس قرارا يأذن بموجبه توقيع بروتوكول الأمم المتحدة المتعلق بمكافحة صنع الأسلحة النارية وأجزائها ومكوناتها والذخيرة والاتجار بها بصورة غير مشروعة، (المكمل لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الجريمة المنظمة عبر الحدود) بالنيابة عن الجماعة الأوروبية.
