The additional requirements were attributable mainly to the following factors: (a) higher costs of construction services resulting from the requirement for the rental of commercial equipment; (b) higher costs of maintenance services resulting from the establishment of permanent security checkpoints that required portable sanitary facilities and the delayed delivery of United Nations-owned sewage vehicles, which led to the need for the rental of sewage equipment; and (c) higher costs of alteration and renovation services resulting from a larger volume of refurbishment work to prepare new camps.
تُعزى الاحتياجات الإضافية في المقام الأول إلى العوامل التالية: (أ) ارتفاع تكاليف خدمات البناء بسبب الحاجة إلى استئجار معدات تجارية؛ (ب) ارتفاع تكاليف خدمات الصيانة نتيجة لإنشاء نقاط تفتيش أمنية دائمة تطلبت مرافق تصحاح متنقلة، والتأخر في تسليم مركبات المجارير المملوكة للأمم المتحدة مما نشأت معه الحاجة إلى استئجار معدات لصرف مياه المجارير؛ (ج) ارتفاع تكاليف خدمات التعديل والتجديد نتيجة زيادة حجم أعمال التجديد لتهيئة معسكرات جديدة.
