In its decision 23/9 IV, the Governing Council requested UNEP to develop further the mercury programme by initiating, preparing and making public a report summarizing supply, trade and demand information for mercury, including in artisanal and small-scale gold mining, and, based on a consideration of the life-cycle approach, to submit a document forming a basis for consideration of possible further actions in those areas for the consideration of the Governing Council at its twenty-fourth session.
طلب مجلس الإدارة في مقرره 23/9 رابعاً من برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة مواصلة تطوير برنامج الزئبق من خلال البدء والتحضير والنشر على نطاق الجمهور لتقرير يوجز معلومات العرض والتجارة والطلب بالنسبة للزئبق، شاملاً الصناعات الحرفية واستخراج الذهب من المناجم بشكل ضيق، وبناء على اعتبارات نهج دورة الحياة، وذلك من أجل تقديم وثيقة تشكل أساساً للنظر في المزيد من الإجراءات المستقبلية في هذه المجالات كي يبحثها مجلس الإدارة في جلسته الرابعة والعشرين.
Requests the Executive Director to develop further the mercury programme of the United Nations Environment Programme established under decision 22/4 V of 7 February 2003 by initiating, preparing and making public a report summarizing supply, trade and demand information for mercury, including in artisanal and small-scale gold mining, and, based on a consideration of the life-cycle approach, to submit a document forming a basis for consideration of possible further actions in those areas for the consideration of the Governing Council at its twenty-fourth session;
يطلب أيضاً إلى المدير التنفيذي مواصلة تطوير برنامج الزئبق الخاص ببرنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة المنشأ بمقتضى المقرر 22/4 خامساً بهدف تيسير وإجراء أنشطة المساعدة التقنية وبناء القدرات من خلال أمور من بينها، خطة بالي الاستراتيجية للدعم التكنولوجي وبناء القدرات من أجل دعم جهود البلدان الرامية إلى اتخاذ إجراءات فيما يتعلق بالتلوث بالزئبق؛
