At 1135 hours on 2 February 2003 eight Israeli warplanes overflew areas of the South and reached the regions of Kasrawan and the Bekaa, thus violating Lebanese airspace. Ground anti-aircraft batteries belonging to the Lebanese Army in the South and Bekaa regions targeted them, whereupon they returned in the direction of the occupied territories at 1200 hours.

Between 0925 and 1125 hours on 21 February 2007 an Israeli enemy reconnaissance aircraft violated Lebanese airspace, entering over Naqurah, heading north. It circled over the southern regions, where it was met with fire from ground anti-aircraft batteries belonging to the Army (LM-12) at the place known as Jinnata, then left Lebanese airspace over Naqurah.

An Israeli military source has claimed that its warplanes had carried out air raids against ground anti-aircraft batteries belonging to the resistance in the South after these anti-aircraft batteries had fired at the Israeli aircraft, endangering and causing panic among the population of adjacent Israeli settlements.

Between 1145 and 1330 hours on 8 February 2004 Israeli military aircraft overflew areas in the South, Kurah, Batrun, and Bsharre at very high altitude, breaking the sound barrier. They circled over the South and Shikka and were met with fire from ground anti-aircraft batteries belonging to the army and elements of the resistance.
