I would like also to express our sincere hope that the Conference will stand ready to bear its responsibilities as the sole multilateral forum for negotiations on disarmament at the international level, in particular on issues of priority to the international community, notably nuclear disarmament.
وأود الإعراب عن أملنا الخالص في أن يكون المؤتمر في دورته الجديدة مستعداً للارتقاء إلى مستوى مسؤولياته، بصفته المحفل المتعدد الأطراف الوحيد للتفاوض حول نزع السلاح على المستوى الدولي، وخاصة بالنسبة للموضوعات ذات الأولوية للمجتمع الدولي، وعلى رأسها نزع السلاح النووي.
