• The Middle East region is now subject to the threat of the use of nuclear weapons, which are possessed by only one State: Israel.   إن منطقة الشرق الأوسط تقع الآن تحت تهديد السلاح النووي الذي تمتلكه دولة واحدة وهي إسرائيل، وهذه المنطقة تشهد الآن حالة خلل واضحة وخطيرة وتفاوتا كبيرا بسبب انضمام جميع الدول العربية إلى معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية والتزامها بأحكام هذه المعاهدة، وعدم انضمام إسرائيل في المقابل إليها، ورفضها التوقيع عليها، ورفضها كذلك رقابة الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية على مفاعلاتها ومنشآتها النووية ورفضها باستمرار نداءات المجتمع الدولي منذ ربع قرن بإخلاء المنطقة من الأسلحة النووية، واستمرارها في دفن النفايات النووية في المناطق العربية المحتلة، وكذلك استمرارها في برنامج تطوير مختلف أسلحة الدمار الشامل الأخرى سواء أكانت بيولوجية أم كيميائية تحت ستار من الصمت من جانب العالم بسبب ازدواجية المعايير التي تطبقها الدول الكبرى.
