The view was expressed that the United Nations was, in principle, the most appropriate organization to exercise the functions of the supervisory authority and that, by exercising those functions, the United Nations would contribute to international cooperation in solving international problems of an economic, social, cultural or humanitarian character, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations.
وأُبدي رأي مؤداه أن الأمم المتحدة هي، من حيث المبدأ، المنظمة الأنسب لممارسة مهام السلطة المُشْرِفة ، وأن ممارسة الأمم المتحدة لتلك المهام تسهم في التعاون الدولي على حل المشاكل الدولية ذات الطابع الاقتصادي أو الاجتماعي أو الثقافي أو الإنساني، وفقا لميثاق الأمم المتحدة.
