In view of the fact that Sudan is a multiracial, multicultural and multireligious country with a vast geographic area extending over 1 million square miles, with weak means of communications, and since the Comprehensive Peace Agreement signed in January 2005 is binding, a formula for the Presidency was adopted in Part Three, Chapter I, that is considered the most suitable to govern the country, to maintain its national unity and cohesion, and the most likely to preserve political stability, by selecting a Head of State who is authorized by the masses directly to exercise genuine powers.
لمَّا كان السودان قطراً تتنوع فيه الأعراق والثقافات والديانات، وتتسع رقعته الجغرافية التي تمتد إلى مليون ميل مربع وتضعف فيه وسائل الاتصال، ولماَّ كان اتفاق السلام الشامل الموقع في كانون الثاني/يناير 2005 ملزماً، فقد تم اعتماد صيغة للنظام الرئاسي في الفصل الأول من الباب الثالث تعتبر هي الأنسب لحكم البلاد وحفظ وحدتها الوطنية وتجانسها القومي، والأجدر بتحقيق الاستقرار السياسي المنشود، وذلك باختيار رأس للدولة مفوض من الجماهير مباشرة ويتمتع بسلطاتٍ حقيقية.

In these regions large tracts of lands, on which forests and other woody vegetation had been destroyed by fire, are now being reforested or otherwise rehabilitated, using rehabilitation methods and technologies that ensure the stabilization of slopes, the selection of reforestation species (or other species to be planted or seeded) that will cope with the extreme environmental stresses in the region, notably drought.
ففي هاتين المنطقتين، يجري حاليا إعادة زرع الغابات في مساحات كبيرة من الأراضي التي أتلفت فيها النيران الغابات وغيرها من الغطاء النباتي الخشبي أو إصلاح هذه الأراضي بطرائق أخرى، باستخدام طرائق وتكنولوجيات إصلاح تضمن استقرار المنحدرات، وانتقاء أنواع لإعادة زراعة الغابات (أو أنواع أخرى لغرسها أو بذرها) قادرة على مواجهة عوامل الضغط البيئي الشديدة في المنطقة، خاصة الجفاف.
