The long-standing cooperation between UNRWA and the Jordanian Ministry of Health continued to cover a wide range of public health activities, including immunization, surveillance of communicable diseases, tuberculosis control, development of human resources for health, quality assurance of essential drugs, participation in national immunization campaigns against poliomyelitis and measles and in-kind donation of hepatitis B vaccine UNRWA also collaborated with the primary health care initiative project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the areas of research on provider and client satisfaction conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Health.
