The development plan details ways in which the Government intends to achieve three specific objectives in order to improve education standards: (a) Improve equitable access to and quality of universal basic education for all children in Tonga up to Year 8 (Form 2); (b) Improve the access to and quality of post basic education and training to cater for the different abilities and needs of students (c) Improve the administration of education and training so that the quality of educational performance is enhanced.
وتفصِّل خطة التنمية السبل التي تنوي الحكومة اتباعها لتحقيق ثلاثة أهداف محددة من أجل تعزيز مستوى التعليم: (أ) تعزيز تكافؤ فرص استفادة جميع الأطفال في تونغا من تعميم التعليم الأساسي حتى يبلغوا 8 سنوات (ابتداء من سنتين) وتعزيز نوعية هذا التعليم؛ و(ب) تعزيز تكافؤ فرص الوصول إلى التعليم والتدريب في المرحلة التالية لمرحلة التعليم الأساسي وتعزيز نوعية هذا التعليم والتدريب من أجل رعاية مختلف قدرات الطلاب وتلبية احتياجاتهم؛ و(ج) تعزيز إدارة التعليم والتدريب ليتسنى تعزيز نوعية أداء التعليم.
