• The Medical Services Section, headed by a Chief Medical Officer (P-4), would be responsible for the coordination and delivery of medical services, organization of medical care, health maintenance and preventative medical treatment of all MINURCAT personnel, coordination of medical and casualty evacuations within and outside the Mission area.

• The Government has made efforts to promote various measures, such as strengthening consultation functions of Child Guidance Centers and establishing networks in local communities, so that the Child Guidance Centers, in close cooperation with relevant organizations of welfare, health, medical care, police and education, can deal with child abuse in an appropriate manner.
  وبذلت الحكومة جهوداً لتعزيز التدابير المختلفة ومنها تعزيز المهام الاستشارية لمراكز إرشاد الطفل وإقامة شبكات في المجتمعات المحلية بحيث تستطيع مراكز إرشاد الطفل، بالتعاون الوثيق مع منظمات الرعاية الصحية والرعاية الطبية والشرطة والتعليم ذات الصلة، التعامل مع الاعتداء على الطفل بطرق ملائمة.
• In dealing with child abuse, efforts are being made to promote various measures, such as strengthening consultation functions of Child Guidance Centers and establishing networks in local communities, so that the Child Guidance Centers, in close cooperation with relevant organizations of welfare, health, medical care, police, education and so on can deal with child abuse in an appropriate manner at each of stage of the problem, namely prevention, early identification, quick response and care for abused children at the facilities and so on.
  وفي معالجة إساءة معاملة الأطفال، تُبذل الجهود لتعزيز تدابير مختلفة، من قبيل دعم وظائف تقديم الاستشارات التي تضطلع بها مراكز توجيه الأطفال وإنشاء شبكات في المجتمعات المحلية، كي تتمكن مراكز توجيه الأطفال، بالتعاون الوثيق مع المنظمات ذات الصلة للرعاية الاجتماعية، والصحة، والرعاية الطبية، والشرطة، والتعليم وما إلى ذلك من معالجة إساءة معاملة الأطفال على نحو مناسب في كل مرحلة من مراحل المشكلة، وهي المنع، وجمع الدلة مبكرا، والاستجابة السريعة ورعاية الأطفال الذين تعرضوا للإيذاء في المرافق وما إلى ذلك.
• The Section would be headed by a Chief Medical Officer (P-5) reporting to the Chief of Administrative Services, who would be responsible for implementation of the work programme of the Section, including management and coordination of integrated civilian-military medical facilities, organization and provision of medical-care and health-care maintenance of all Mission personnel, implementation of environmental health, workplace and personal hygiene measures, prophylaxis and vaccinations, coordination of medical evacuations within and outside the Mission area, coordination of evacuation operations in the event of epidemics and planning of monthly inspections of the military and formed police contingents.
  وسوف يرأس القسم كبير الموظفين الطبيين (ف - 5) الذي يخضع للمساءلة أمام رئيس الخدمات الإدارية، وستناط به مسؤولية تنفيذ برنامج عمل القسم، بما يشمل إدارة المرافق الطبية المدنية - العسكرية المتكاملة والتنسيق بينها، وتنظيم العمل على تقديم الرعاية الطبية لجميع العاملين في البعثة ورعاية صحتهم، وتنفيذ التدابير المتعلقة بالصحة البيئية ومكان العمل والنظافة الشخصية، وإجراءات الوقاية من الأمراض والتطعيم، وتنسيق عمليات الإجلاء الطبي داخل وخارج منطقة البعثة، وتنسيق عمليات الإجلاء في حالات الأوبئة والتخطيط لإجراء عمليات تفتيش شهرية على الوحدات العسكرية ووحدات الشرطة المشكَّلة.
