• In 2003, for example, over 100,000 young people and adults, 65.1 per cent of them women, benefited from the alternative community programmes which are organized based on the needs and interests of participations. These programmes cover issues such as assistance for the elderly, preparation for family life, topics pertaining to the Para la Vida programme, environmental conservation, health, green medicine, crafts, sex education and computer science.
