"Immobilization" means the process of putting nuclear material into non-weapons usable form without irradiation, e.g., by mixing with highly radioactive isotopes and encasing into a matrix of another material in order to render separation of the nuclear material from the matrix technically difficult.
50 - يقصد بمصطلح ”التثبيت“ عملية جعل مواد نووية في شكل قابل للاستخدام في غير الأسلحة دون تعريضها للإشعاع، مثلا بخلطها بنظائر شديدة الإشعاع ودمجها في مصفوفة مادة أخرى بهدف جعل انفصال المادة النووية عن المصفوفة أمرا صعبا من الناحية التقنية.
