Women refugees and internally displaced persons living in tent camps suffered from gastric disorders, skin infections, malaria, tuberculosis, anaemia, mental illness and gynaecological disorders, among other things.
والنساء اللاجئات والأشخاص المشردون داخليا يعيشون في خيام ويعانون من اعتلالات في الجهاز الهضمي، والالتهابات الجلدية، والملاريا، والتدرن الرئوي، وفقر الدم، والأمراض العقلية، والأمراض النسائية، من جملة أمور أخرى.
(c) Support for preventive initiatives and increased focus on dealing with epidemic gastric diseases including malaria, tuberculosis and AIDS in view of the increasing gravity of the AIDS pandemic, and the inclusion of policies to combat it in educational and media programmes and awareness programmes, and the promotion of participation by all sectors of society in dealing with them, as well as enabling poor people to obtain basic medicines.
(ج) دعم المبادرات الوقائية، وزيادة الاهتمام بمواجهة الأمراض الوبائية المعدية ومنها الملاريا والسل ووباء نقص المناعة المكتسبة (الإيدز) في ضوء تفاقم هذا الوباء، ودمج سياسات مكافحتها في البرامج التربوية والإعلامية وبرامج التوعية، وتطوير مساهمة جميع قطاعات المجتمع في مواجهتها، وتمكين المعوزين من الحصول على الأدوية الأساسية.
