The requirement for additional aircraft and the reconfiguration of the Mission's fleet reflect the logistical support requirements arising from the deployment of military personnel to the Ituri region and Bunia and the deployment of additional civilian and military personnel to locations in the east of the country, as well as limitations on the use of fixed-wing cargo aircraft stemming from the insufficient length and/or quality of runways.
والاحتياج إلى الطائرات الإضافية وإلى إعادة تصميم خطة نشر الأسطول الجوي للبعثة يعكس احتياجات الدعم اللوجيستي الناشئة عن نشر أفراد عسكريين في منطقة إيتوري وبونيا، ونشر أفراد مدنيين وعسكريين آخرين في مواقع شرقي البلد، فضلا عن القيود المفروضة على استخدام طائرات النقل الثابتة الجناحين نتيجة لعدم كفاية طول مدارج المطارات وسوء حالتها.
