This situation stems from the little time that has elapsed from the end of the theoretical minimal latent period, the insufficient lifespan of the population at risk from irradiation and, probably, the peculiarities of the carcinogenic processes resulting from chronic radiation in small doses.
ويُعزى ذلك إلى قصر الفترة الزمنية التي انقضت بين نهاية الحد الأدنى النظري لفترة السكون، وقصر فترة حياة السكان المعرضين لخطر الإشعاع، وربما يعود إلى خصائص عمليات تطور الأورام السرطانية الناتجة عن التعرض إلى جرعات صغيرة من الإشعاع بشكل مزمن.
