Moreover, the project contributed to the formulation of five-year guidelines for a national tuberculosis programme, the creation of a sustainable drug logistics system, the strengthening of the technical and managerial capacity of the NTP staffs to conduct national prevalence survey and the expansion of DOTS, strengthening of the capacity of health administrators and laboratory technologist through training at the Research Institute of Tuberculosis/Japan Anti-Tuberculosis Association.
