Apart from these main pathologies, others most frequently encountered are malnutrition, meningitis, bucco-dental infections, leprosy, Guinea worm, and targeted diseases such as AIDS and those covered by the Expanded Programme of Immunization, i.e. measles, poliomyelitis, neonatal tetanus and pertussis.
وفيما عدا هذه الأمراض الرئيسية توجد أمراض أخرى مهمة: سوء التغذية؛ الالتهاب السحائي؛ التهابات الفم والأسنان؛ الجزام؛ دودة غينيا؛ والأمراض المستهدفة مثل الإيدز والأمراض التي تدخل في برنامج التحصين الموسع وهي الحصبة وشلل الأطفال والتيتانوس عند الولادة والسعال الديكي.
Other achievements are: i) the compulsory screening of all blood donations to the country's blood banks; ii) comprehensive non-discriminatory treatment of all children and adolescents diagnosed with HIV/AIDS; iii) HIV testing of pregnant women as part of the tests carried out in prenatal check-ups; iv)follow-up, from pregnancy, of cases considered at risk or detected as being HIV-positive, and the purchase of condoms and medication subsequently distributed in the HIV/AIDS comprehensive health care clinics. Among other actions taken are: v) the establishment of the National Prison Commission on AIDS (1987); vi) the drafting of a Protocol for Preventing Infection in Dental Surgeries (1996); vii) the preparation of the National Strategic Plan for a Comprehensive Attack on HIV/AIDS, 2001-2004; and viii) prevention campaigns in the mass media.
ورغم أن سبيل الانتصاف هذا يتوخى حماية الحق في الحرية المادية وحق التنقل، فإن الفقه القانوني والتشريع المقارن قد وسّع نطاق التغطية بالتمييز بين الحالات التالية: (أ) إصلاح الضرر: يهدف هذا النوع من سبل الانتصاف إلى إعادة حرية المواطنين الذين حُرموا من الحرية بصورة غير شرعية بسبب مخالفة التشريع المحلي؛ (ب) المنع: يهدف هذا النوع إلى منع التهديد بالحرمان من الحرية الشخصية، بما في ذلك التهديدات التعسفية؛ (ج) التعديل: عادة ما يهدف سبيل الانتصاف هذا إلى تغيير مكان الاحتجاز، إما لأنه لا يناسب طبيعة الجرم، أو لأن المحتجز يتعرض لمعاملة غير لائقة؛ (د) التقييد: يهدف سبيل الانتصاف هذا إلى وضع حد لما يتعرض لـه فرد ما من مضايقة مفرطة من قبل السلطات القضائية أو الإدارية أو لمنع وصوله إلى مناطق عامة أو خاصة.
