Besides the normal activities of the health plan, the following specific services deal with the current and future ageing population of Israel: geriatricians have been place in the seven regional subdivisions; health care units are being upgraded, expanded and remodeled; geriatric hospitalizations are monitored to allow the optimum placement of those needing short or long term hospitalization; comprehensive multidisciplinary geriatric assessment units are being established, etc.
وإلى جانب الأنشطة العادية للخطة الصحية، توجّه الخدمات المحددة التالية لسكان إسرائيل المسنين في الحاضر والمستقبل: عُين أخصائيون في طب الشيوخ في سبع شعب فرعية إقليمية؛ يجري تطوير وحدات الرعاية الصحية وتوسيعها وإعادة تشكيلها؛ تتم مراقبة دخول المسنين إلى المستشفيات لكفالة توزيع أمثل حسب الحاجة لفترات استشفاء قصيرة أو طويلة؛ ويجري إنشاء وحدات تقييم شاملة متعددة التخصصات معنية بطب الشيوخ؛ وغير ذلك.
