In this regard, we can affirm today that there is a clear divide between those who regard human rights as the best way to promote dignity and larger freedom and those who see them as an inconvenient obligation, or one that is hard to comply with in the face of certain customs, ideological postures or ways of exercising public power.
وفي هذا الصدد يمكننا أن نؤكد اليوم أن هناك فارقا واضحا بين أولئك الذين يعتبرون حقوق الإنسان أفضل سبيل لتعزيز الكرامة والحرية الأوسع وأولئك الذين يرون أنها التزام غير مريح يصعب التقيد به في وجه عادات معينة، أو مواقف أيديولوجية؛ أو سبل لممارسة السلطة العامة.
