In Mexico the first 10 causes of death among women in 2001 were: diabetes mellitus, ischaemic diseases of the heart, cerebro-vascular disease, certain affections occurring during the perinatal period, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cirrhosis and other chronic diseases of the liver, acute diseases of the lower respiratory tract, diseases arising from high blood pressure, nephritis, nephrosis and malignant tumours of the cervix.
ففي سنة 2001 كانت أسباب الوفيات العشر الأولى بين النساء هي: مرض السكري، وأمراض القلب، وأمراض الأعصاب والعظام، والالتهابات التي تحدث قبل الولادة، والالتهابات الرئوية الحادة، وتليف الكبد وأمراض الكبد الأخرى، والتهابات الجهاز التنفسي السفلي الحادة، والأمراض الناتجة عن ارتفاع ضغط الدم، وأمراض الكلى وأورام الرحم.
