This equipment (reactors, heat exchangers, distillation columns and tanks etc.), although rendered harmless, was not fully destroyed in the 1990s, and Iraq had earlier repaired several items of this equipment and had used them for non-proscribed activities at other commercial chemical facilities.
ورغم أن هذه المعدات (مُفاعلات، ومبادلات حرارية، وأعمدة وصهاريج تقطير، وما إلى ذلك)، قد أبطل مفعولها، فإنها لم تدمر بالكامل في التسعينات، حيث كان العراق قد أصلح في السابق عدة أصناف من هذه المعدات واستعملها في أنشطة غير محظورة بمرافق تجارية أخرى للمواد الكيميائية.
