This standard can be generally understood to mean that sufficient evidence should be submitted to have supported a conviction of the suspect were the evidence to be presented, accepted as true and not contradicted at trial.
ويمكن فهم هذا المعيار بصفة عامة على أنه يعني ضرورة تقديم الأدلة الكافية التي تدعم إدانة المشتبه فيه وهي الأدلة التي يتعين تقديمها وقبولها على أنها صحيحة ولا تـُـنقض في المحاكمة.

6.1 On 7 February 2002, the State party informed the Committee that the mere fact that it does not respond to all of counsel's assertions and allegations does not mean that it accepts them as true and correct.

6.3 Concerning the allegations of political involvement and previous ill-treatment at the hands of the Sudanese authorities as grounds for fearing that the complainant would be subjected to torture on return, the Committee notes that even if it were to discount the above-mentioned inconsistencies and accept these claims as true, the complainant does not claim to have been politically involved since 1992, and at no time during the domestic proceedings nor in his complaint to the Committee did he claim to have been tortured by the Sudanese authorities.
6-3 وفيما يتعلق بمزاعم الانخراط في العمل السياسي والتعرض لإساءة المعاملة في السابق على يد السلطات السودانية، باعتبارها أساسا لمخاوف تعرض مقدّم الشكوى للتعذيب عند عودته، تلاحظ اللجنة أنه حتى في حالة غض الطرف عن التضارب المذكور آنفاً وقبول صحة هذه المزاعم، فإن مقدّم الشكوى لم يدع الانخراط في العمل السياسي منذ عام 1992، ولم يدع في أي وقت خلال سير الإجراءات المحلية أو النظر في الشكوى التي قدمها إلى اللجنة، تعرضه للتعذيب على يد السلطات السودانية.
