We wonder whose interests are served by the events in Iraq. Who is to benefit from the destruction of that country, with its age-old civilization? Will the events taking place in Iraq remain confined to that country, or will they spread beyond its borders like fire, causing destruction and desolation in the region as they have done in Iraq?
إننا نتساءل لمصلحة من يجري ما يجري في العراق، ومن المستفيد مما يلحق بهذا البلد ذي الحضارة العريقة من تدمير وتخريب؟ وهل سيبقى ما يجري في العراق داخل العراق أم أن نيرانه ستمتد خارجه ملحقة من الدمار والخراب بالمنطقة مثلما ألحقت بالعراق وأهله؟
